Winter Holy Land CruiseTour (January 28th to February 10th, 2012) |
Join us for our
faith-based cruise-tour of the Holy Land. We are going off season when its not quite so hot and the crowds are less. This special tour includes two nights in Rome and an overnight stay in Israel and Egypt with special tours just for our group.
Our two-week cruise-tour departs Rome (Port of Civitvecchia - one hour from the central city) on Saturday January 29th for an 11-nt sailing to the Middle East. We will visit four countries: Turkey, Cyprus, Israel and Egypt. Our cruise features four days at sea to relax and enjoy our beautiful ship, the NCL Jade.
The best thing about this cruise is that we've arranged for an overnight shore excursion in Jerusalem allowing us to visit the ancient and holy sites sites of Bethlehem, Nazareth
and the Sea of Galilee. We will walk the Via Dolrosa, see the Wailing Wall, Golgotha and the Upper Room during our stay in Jerusalem. We will reboard the cruise ship in Ashdod, Israel and sail overnight to Port Said, Egypt
Once there we will depart for another overnight stay. This time in the Land of the Pharaohs, Cairo. Here we arranged for stops at the Egypt Museum, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Bazaar before rejoining our cruise ship in Alexandria. We finish our cruise with two more sea days arriving back in Italy in time for the weekly Papal audience at the Vatican. Our group will spend two nights in Rome with ample free time to explore the Eternal city on your own.
